I had a pretty good time with the interviews at Dropbox, which used a code testing platform. The questions were pretty well thought out, and they really focused on OOP concepts and problem-solving. I liked how there was a mix of hard LeetCode problems and some actual Python coding tasks. It was a good and informative experience!

The interview process involved several interviews with the team I was interviewing for, plus an initial call with the recruiter. The recruiter was responsive at strange hours, like after 10pm, which made me wonder if they overwork their full-time staff. My interview with the team happened after 5pm in my time zone, and they mentioned it was 8pm their time. I imagine interviewing me outside of their normal work hours didn't make the best first impression. Seeing other interview reviews online makes me think Dropbox might have some internal problems that they hide with their hiring process.

The recruiter seemed to dislike knowing I had other job offers and tried to discourage me. After passing the three rounds with the recruiter, team lead, and two teammates, I felt the interview sessions weren't well planned. Many interviewers hadn't reviewed my resume and quickly asked if I had questions. They seemed more focused on personality fit than my job skills. The team also lacked diversity. I had to follow up for a final response because they kept delaying, claiming they didn't have enough info to decide, even after three rounds. The whole thing took two months, which felt like a waste of time.
