The interview process at DriveWealth was pretty quick, only about two weeks total. It started with a recruiter call to chat about the company and the position. Then, I had a take-home coding challenge, which was in React and had a 3-hour time limit. After submitting the take-home, I had a technical interview with the hiring manager. We reviewed my take-home assessment and also discussed some System Design concepts. This interview lasted an hour. The final stage was a 30-minute behavioral interview with the CTO, focusing on my experience and some backend practices, even though the role is mostly frontend. Unfortunately, I received a generic rejection email without any specific feedback, which makes me wonder if they already had someone in mind or if it was a speculative posting. Still, the speed of the process was a nice change.

Applied online and a few days later HR reached out to schedule the initial HR round. After the HR round, I was given an assessment test to complete. Even though I did everything as per the requirements, I received a rejection email. I was very disappointed considering the time and effort I put into completing the assignment, which was lengthy and would take anyone about 8 hours to complete. Despite completing the assignment, I still got the rejection email. My suggestion to future applicants: if you want to waste your precious 8-10 hours of life, please apply here. The hiring process is super outdated, and they seem to just use the work given to candidates as part of the interview process and later reject them. So guys, please stay away from this company; it's simply a waste of time, and at the end, you'll end up disappointed if you apply. If you still don't trust me, go ahead and experience it yourself!

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • HR asked standard questions like 'Why are you interested in this company?' and 'Tell me about your background.'
  • For the second round, I was asked to build a Restaurant Management App using React.

I sent in my application online for the SDE1 role in the Manhattan office. They contacted me by email to set up a time to chat. The recruiter then set up a screening call for the next week. After that, they sent me a technical assessment to complete on CoderPad. It had 44 questions and I only had 50 minutes, which felt way too short. I think the only way to finish it that fast would be if you'd already done that LeetCode question or a similar one before.
