Customer Success Manager
A recruiter got in touch about the CSM job and I applied. They sent me two assessments that took around 30-40 minutes to finish. Not long after, like 1-2 hours, they wanted to schedule a phone interview. I'll add more details once that's done.
- Describe a situation where you exceeded expectations for a customer.
Senior QA Engineer
Interviewed with the CTO and Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager mostly asked questions, focusing on standard Senior QA Engineer topics like situational ('what would you do in * situation') and 'Tell me about...' questions.
- What are your strategies for handling disagreements with developers?
Software Engineer
After applying on a third-party job board, I didn't speak to anyone. They first sent me an email to take an assessment and a coding challenge that took 2 hours. The next week, they sent another assessment that took 45 minutes. It turns out I wasn't selected after the first assessment, and the second one was sent by mistake.
- Questions about .Net?
- Questions about C#?
- Questions about API?
Lead Engineer
The whole thing was a really bad vibe. The first chat was super flat, like nobody cared what I said, and the questions felt judgmental and kinda put-down-ish. The second interview was even worse. The interviewer wasn't into the fact I want a good work-life balance and a team that actually cares about people and lets you do your thing. He flat-out said I'd have trouble finding a job with that in mind and even made fun of a tech skill I have. It’s a shame that toxic workplaces are seen as normal and people get treated poorly, especially when he said he was all about people. The only good part was realizing it wasn't a fit so we could move on.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
