First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Drip.
Support Specialist
Submitted job application, received written essay assignment answering questions. Second round was a 30min phone interview with an internal recruiter. Next were 2 30min zoom interviews on customer service and empathy which seemed easy and common sense. Hiring process breakdown: 1-Written Essay Question Assignment 2-30min Phone Interview 3- 2 30min zoom interviews on customer service and empathy 4- 45min Technical Interview 5-Final interview with Director. Received a reject email. Emailed recruiter to forward thank you note to interviewers, but no reply received, making me wonder if decision was already made. Experience was better than some previous ones, but still uncertain why I wasn't selected despite years of customer service experience and seeming capability. Be aware you can have majority of qualifications and still be rejected. Interviews sounded positive and I thought I got along with interviewers, so unsure of company's criteria. Interviewers were professional and not nasty, rating this experience as Neutral. Disappointed.
- What does Work Life Balance mean to you, and what is your thought process in regards to treating customers?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process was straightforward, they wanted to know about my current and past roles. The initial link to book a time slot was broken, but after it was resolved and a meeting was booked, I received a notification 2 minutes before the meeting that "something came up on their calendar". The interview was pushed out a week. The interviewer was 12 minutes late to the rescheduled meeting. After 30 minutes of questions about my work history, they decided that "their current opening is a bit more junior than your experience level". My feedback is to prioritize interviewees and space out interviews if hard stops are not possible.
- Can you describe your current role?
- What are your compensation expectations?
Product Specialist
The process had a major red flag when I had to speak with over 6 people and they couldn't answer basic questions about company initiatives. They talked a lot about diversity and inclusion, but the 6+ people I met with didn't reflect that. You start with an initial interview regarding compensation. If you accept, you have a set time to complete an email response assignment. This was the only positive part of the process. If you pass that, you proceed to a recruiter screen. Then, you interview with two managers who ask behavioral questions and similar things. After that, there's a technical interview. The final interview round is with a high-level person (like a director) and an HR person. After going through a month-long process, the generic email response wasn't appreciated. Also, if you're going to offer minimal incentives, don't make candidates go through so many rounds for a month.
- Can you tell me about a time you encountered a difficult customer and how you handled it?
- What is the Internet?
Associate Product Manager
The interview process includes 3 separate steps. First, you'll chat with HR for about 30 minutes about your background and why you're interested in this role and Drip. Second, you'll meet with the Product Director for 45 minutes to discuss process, prioritization, and data-driven decisions. Finally, there's a 1-hour session with the People Lead, VP of Product, and an Engineer.
- Tell me about your background.
- Why are you looking to make a move at this time?
- What attracts you to Drip?
