First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Draper.
Mechanical Engineering Intern
I got an email for an interview a few months after applying. It was a single, informal ~20min chat with the hiring manager. It wasn't very technical. They said they'd let me know about decisions within a week, but I haven't heard back yet.
- Can you tell me about some projects you've worked on?
- What challenges did you face in your projects and how did you handle them?
- Can you share your experiences with learning curves on your projects?
Mechanical Engineer
I had a phone call with another engineer about my resume. They asked me about my experiences. It was not a technical interview but more of a conversation to understand the role and my background. It lasted about 30 minutes.
- Could you elaborate on the engineering tests you performed to validate your designs?
Mechanical Engineer
It was a half-day interview. I gave a technical presentation, then met with different engineering teams and HR for about 45 mins to an hour each. They gave me a quick tour, and we went to lunch.
- Can you elaborate on the technical details of your presentation?
