First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dragons Group.
Account Manager
It was two parts, first they wanted to see my background and how it fit the role, then there was a written test with simulated cases to see how I handle certain areas. In the end, they told me that due to account and campaign changes, the position I was interviewing for was no longer available.
- Could you detail how you develop a creative brief with the creative team?
- What's your method for making sure a brief matches client expectations and project goals?
Head of Department
I had an in-person interview with the CEO and HR. We talked about my background, my strategic plan for the role, and how I would lead and improve the department. We also discussed the company's future goals and how my contributions would align with Dragons Group's direction.
- What is your vision for design?
- What are your design references?
Freelance Position
I applied for a freelance role at the agency. They reached out for an initial chat with an HR manager to understand my background and briefly talk about the project. A few days later, I had a second meeting with a project manager who knew more about the specifics. It felt more like a discussion than a formal interview. They seemed to like my profile and asked about my salary expectations. However, I never heard back. There was no confirmation, rejection, negotiation on pay, or feedback. I was completely ghosted, leaving me with a very negative impression of the company as unprofessional, uncaring, and disrespectful.
- Could you tell me about your experience in this area?
Personal Executive Assistant
The interview process was smooth and welcoming. The recruiters made me feel that they were genuinely interested in what I could bring to the table, and they conducted the interview in a very professional manner. I later had the chance to interview with the CEO, who was also attentive and professional. The relaxed interview environment she created helped put me at ease. After the interviews, they provided a prompt response, which was greatly appreciated.
- Could you walk me through your background and prior work experience?
