The hiring process flowed really well from applying on LinkedIn all the way to the final panel interviews. There was a case study that was super vague, it was hard to figure out what kind of data they were even looking for. The other interviews with the panel consisted of typical behavioral questions mixed with hypothetical situations for a product manager role.

Behavioral Technical Case

It started with an HR screen, then a hiring manager interview. After that, I had a half-day of interviews with multiple people from different roles and levels (VPs, directors, managers, analysts) across product, engineering, and UX. This included a live analytics exercise which was tough but really great. An analyst led it, presenting a use case with various data points. I had to use this data to hypothesize why a process was slowing down. It felt like there was a specific answer they were looking for, but the main focus was on my problem-solving approach. They emphasized time sensitivity and how I'd break down a large problem into the smallest, most critical analysis. It was an amazing experience and felt like a true representation of how I'd tackle problems on the job.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

The interview process involved three rounds. First, there was an initial screening with the recruiter, which was behavioral. Then, I interviewed with the Director of Product Management, focusing on my background related to product management. The final round was an onsite interview which included a case study and a brainstorming session for a new product. I met with several people from the product management team and they provided lunch. A few things stood out negatively: I only met with men, which was noticeable as a woman. After the onsite, I had to follow up with the recruiter after three weeks to find out I was rejected. The recruiter's only feedback was that my 'qualifications did not match,' which is surprising given I reached the final round.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Did you have experience working in an agile environment?
  • Can you describe a project you managed from its initial concept to product launch?
  • Could you walk me through the case study commonly used in your interviews?
