Case Presentation

The interview started with a recruiter call, then a hiring manager intro call. Next was a presentation/case study exercise using a dataset. Finally, there was a panel interview to present the case study. I felt good about the initial calls and intros. For the presentation, they expected a lot of visuals. There were some issues with timing and communication for the presentation. There was a two-week gap after I submitted the case study before the presentation, and I didn't hear anything for about a week, which made me think I was ghosted. I was initially told to spend only a couple of hours on the presentation, but the materials suggested eight hours. Even with extra time, the feedback was that it was too surface-level, and they seemed to expect me to be a business expert on things outside the provided data, despite the guidance to only use the dataset.

I had a phone screen with HR, which was easy and nice. Then, I had a marketing interview that seemed good. I didn't get the job, but that's okay. They said my feedback was "too textbook and not creative enough." It was disappointing because the job has been open for months, and they still can't fill it. It seems like a company that struggles with decisions. Honestly, I'm glad I avoided this team because I've dealt with micromanagers before.

The interview process was pretty quick, starting with a phone screen, then a manager interview, a project, a panel interview, and finally a VP interview. However, after finishing all the interviews, I was left waiting for two months with no word. I had to chase them up twice just to find out I wasn't getting an offer and get any feedback.
