Product Owner
The interview process for this role was really long and messy, and they didn't communicate things well. It took months from when I applied to find out the final outcome, and it was a super long and annoying experience. They made me do a take-home task and a big presentation, which took a lot of my time. The people interviewing me were good and the chats were okay, but the company kept messing up the timing, going silent for ages, and not telling me what was happening. I was told I'd get feedback by a certain date several times, but nothing happened. My follow-ups took weeks to get a response, and they never proactively told me what was going on or why things were delayed. I get that internal stuff happens, but they were so unclear and didn't seem to care about me as a candidate. It felt like a badly run process and a waste of my time, especially since I worked hard on the tasks and presentation. The work they do is interesting, but they seriously need to fix their hiring process, especially how they communicate, make decisions, and let candidates know what's happening.
- Can you describe your approach to collaborating with stakeholders?
Accounting Manager
The interview was remote on Teams with 3 people: HR, Controller, and Assistant Controller. Questions were technical and behavioral. All interviewers were new to the company (<1 year), so they couldn't share much about the culture. The interview felt scripted and not like a conversation. The Controller was interrupted mid-interview because of another meeting, which wasn't very professional. It took a long time to hear back, over 3 weeks, even though HR did communicate about the delays. They reposted the job, maybe to get more applicants. It's concerning that the whole panel is new, which could mean high turnover and aligns with some online reviews. My initial application through the website didn't get a response, but applying through an HR agency got me an interview the next day. This suggests DP World's internal screening isn't efficient. It might be better to use an HR agency to get an interview there. After waiting weeks, I withdrew my application and took another job with similar pay. I needed to move on quickly. The whole process was too long.
- How would your colleagues describe you?
Graduate Trainee
DP World's official GROW graduate programme for their SSA region has 4 main steps: First, you do an online application where you submit your degree, personal info, and pick your interests. Then, there's a video screening where you record answers to some general questions. After that, you take online tests covering cognitive ability, personality, and how well you fit the workplace. The final stage is a site visit and assessment centre. This is face-to-face, involves working on real job tasks and projects, and you'll hear from business leaders. It's a realistic simulation of tasks, and you might do rotations. If you get through this, they'll make you a formal offer.

Software Development Engineer
The interview process involved 1 Online Assessment (OA) followed by 4 rounds. The OA had 2 DSA questions (medium to hard), 1 SQL question, and 4 MCQs. I managed to fully solve one DSA question and got 10/15 test cases on the other. The SQL question was straightforward, but I hadn't revised it, so I couldn't code it. Rounds 1 and 2 were both DSA rounds, each featuring one medium and one hard question. Apparently, the first round featured questions from Striver's sheet for everyone. Round 3 was with the Hiring Manager and focused on my resume. Round 4 was a standard HR Behavioral round, but only about 3-4 students could attend due to time constraints. I made it to Round 3. In total, 14 students from our college were considered.
