First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Downtown LA Law Group.
Legal Secretary
I arrived at the firm and had to fill out a lot of paperwork that took about an hour. Then the interviewer made me wait an extra 30 minutes for our interview even though it was scheduled for a specific time. After that first interview, they said I passed and would move on to a second interview, which they hadn't mentioned would be on the same day. I then waited another hour and a half, past the firm's closing time, for a second interview with a different person. Both interviews seemed to go well from my perspective. The firm then never got back to me, giving me no follow-up.
- What is your intended length of employment at our firm
Paralegal
It's a good place to get experience in the legal field. The coworkers are great, but management is overworked and shows favoritism. The pay isn't great, and you'll get a lot of different tasks thrown your way.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for Downtown LA Law Group?
Interviewer
This place wouldn't work for me. The interview process was a turn-off, with no one being friendly and a lack of professional attire. Even an attorney I met in the elevator didn't acknowledge me. So, it's a definite no.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in joining this company?
Legal Assistant/Paralegal
It was a pretty fast process, and they hired me after I spoke with three people. Farid seemed a bit intimidating, but I think he had good intentions. Amy was great and very nice; she was direct and conducted the interview efficiently.
