First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dover Saddlery.
Manager
The interview process felt pretty organized, and they kept me in the loop about what was happening. The people I talked to were really professional and asked some good, challenging questions that made me think. I liked that they mixed in both technical stuff and questions about how I work with others. It gave me a solid vibe of what the company is like and what they look for in people.
- Could you share an instance where you rapidly acquired a new technology to successfully deliver a project?
- Can you detail a situation where you faced a difficult project and how you navigated through it?
- What strategies do you employ for task prioritization and overseeing your team's productivity?
Key Supervisor
it was easy and simple, they wanted to know if i knew anything about horses, customer service stuff. there was only one interview and i got the offer right after. after accepting, i had to do a background check before i could start.
- Tell me about your horse experience.
Product Advisor
It was a really quick interview, under 15 minutes. They mostly asked about my horse background, specifically if I attended horse shows a lot (they're not looking for someone who's at shows every weekend) and if I had any customer service experience.
- Tell me about your experience with horses.
- How often do you attend horse shows?
- Do you have prior customer service experience?
Assistant Manager
Had a long, informal chat with the store manager. Asked basic questions and did some paperwork. It took forever. The manager was really blunt talking about the company and work.
- Do you know about and have experience with equestrian sports?
