First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dover Food Retail.
Manufacturing Engineer
There were two interview rounds. The first was a screening to explain the role and check my work location eligibility. The second interview focused on my resume and behavioral questions, pretty straightforward. I mostly discussed how my resume showed I'd be a good fit for the role.
- Can you tell me about your experience that relates to this position?
Marketing Analyst
The hiring managers seemed really disinterested during the interview. Even though I'm a strong data analyst, they kept asking about my experience in the food industry, which felt irrelevant. The HR person was nice and selected my resume based on my qualifications, but the interviewer wasn't impressed. I wouldn't recommend this company.
- Considering your background isn't in food retailing, what makes you a good candidate for this role?
Product Manager - Technical
It was a pretty thorough process with several rounds of virtual and onsite interviews. The team seemed really invested and caring, would have been great to work with. The whole thing did stretch out a bit though.
- Can you share your experience working with the HVAC/R sales channel?
- What's your approach to acquiring data that isn't consolidated?
- How would you suggest improving aftermarket sales?
Buyer
After receiving a couple of days' notice, I had a Teams interview with three people simultaneously. One of them mostly kept their camera off, seemingly engaged in other work. This person eventually detailed the job's challenges, highlighting the multitasking involved. The individual who spoke the most also appeared to be multitasking during my responses. The third interviewer was visually present and provided an overview of the company's operations but was less interactive afterward.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivated your application for this role?
- Who do you envision as a mentor, and what are your reasons for choosing them?
