3 interviews total. First was with HR recruiter over the phone. Then a panel interview. The last one was a one-on-one with the practice lead. I remember it being a high-energy environment, the staff were professional, and they communicated transparently. Since I got the job, it's kinda hard to remember my exact thoughts before being hired.

Had a phone interview with a recruiter. She explained the interview process step by step. I would be interviewed by two panels, each with a supervisor, an HR person, and a peer. I'd need to submit writing samples and take a writing test. She mentioned long hours without overtime or comp time, but said employees were compensated in other ways. I knew I wasn't the right fit by the end of the call. I appreciated the thought put into finding the right candidate, and knew it wasn't me. Because the recruiter was thorough, I saved us time and energy.

The interview process included a phone screen, a panel interview, a writing exercise, and a final interview with management. It was pretty straight forward. Each interviewer took the time to talk about the organization, their guiding principles, success factors, and their culture. They want you to understand the nature of the work, and want to make sure you're a good fit for their organization.

The interview process was long and felt arduous. I participated in three separate interviews and had the chance to meet with a significant number of staff members. While it was a positive experience to connect with so many people, it's challenging to dedicate this much time to interviews when I'm currently employed.
