I applied online through their website after seeing the posting on a Job Board. There were some scheduling issues on both ends, but the recruiter and I eventually connected. It seemed like they were looking for a very specific experience and weren't considering candidates who didn't have that particular qualification.

Had two conversations. The first leader seemed disengaged, like the meeting wasn't a priority, and it was super awkward. The second chat with the hiring manager was extremely standard and not progressive. It was a bummer and didn't sell me on the company at all. Despite being referred, I never heard back from anyone. Ghosted.

This is a pretty lengthy interview process, but they do it on purpose to make sure they hire the right people. It begins with a phone screening, followed by an interview. If you pass that, you'll have a 2-hour Culture Interview. After that, it's a 4-hour Skills Interview where you'll go over your career history thoroughly, assessing your work and your manager. It's a process that asks for vulnerability and honesty, and some might find it challenging. But if you're naturally open and communicative, you'll be fine. Even though it's a long process, it's quite enjoyable, and I found myself already building connections with my future team members when I started.

Double Good's interview process doesn't cut corners, which is great. It might seem longer than other places, but it really ensures you and the company are a good match and that you'll like being part of the DG family. The first interview is about talking honestly about yourself, your life, and your values, not your qualifications. I liked it because they cared about knowing me as a person beyond my resume. If you move on, you'll have more interviews with team members to discuss or present your qualifications. This is also good because you meet more people you'd work with. I actually quit my old job while interviewing for Double Good, risking it even without knowing if I'd get the job. Note: It can be tough if you're currently employed since there are about 5 rounds, including the phone screening. But if it's a good fit, it's worth it.
