User Experience Tester
I had a Teams meeting with HR, then a Teams meeting with the hiring manager, and finally a Teams meeting with the hiring manager and the head of the team. The last interview was technical and I wasn't warned about it. The job is advertised as remote, but when I asked, they said there are occasional team meetings in London and they'd cover expenses. It seems mostly remote though, as they mentioned colleagues they've never met. I was rejected a few days after the third interview.

Analytics Engineer
So I applied for this Analytics Engineer role that I thought was a great fit. I had a good initial chat with the recruiter who seemed to agree I was a strong candidate and said I'd be set up with the hiring manager. Then, about a week later, out of the blue, I got a standard rejection email, like no details at all. I reached out to ask for some feedback since I really thought I matched the job description well, but honestly, I never heard back from the recruiter. It was pretty frustrating not knowing why I didn't move forward.
- Can you describe your experience and how it relates to the requirements of this position?
HR Business Partner
I applied online. About three weeks later, I got an email to set up a recruiter call, which was a bit awkward to book. The call itself felt like I was just checking boxes, not much real chat. The recruiter seemed bored and didn't explain the next steps clearly. I decided not to move forward because of the bad first impression and because the job description had tasks that seemed more for someone starting out, even though the title suggested otherwise. Before I could tell them, the recruiter sent an email saying basically nothing. Since I'd already decided the role wasn't for me, I was okay with Dotmatics reaching the same conclusion. But it's really not cool how employers avoid giving feedback. I know they get a lot of applications, but if they ask for your time for a call, the least they can do is tell you why you weren't chosen. I'm calling this out whenever I see it. If nothing moves forward before a call, sure, you can't give feedback to everyone. But if you actually talk to someone, be decent. It felt unprofessional.
- Can you describe your experience managing HR across different countries?
Deal Desk Manager
I applied online. The recruiter set up a 30-minute Zoom call with me. We talked about my background and she answered my questions. Then, she passed me along to the Director of Revenue Operations for a 45-minute interview. We had a good conversation, and I felt ready for his questions. He also gave me a clear idea of what the job would be like. The next week, the recruiter contacted me to say they selected another candidate. She told me the hiring manager liked me and thought I was professional with good answers, but they needed someone with more change management experience. I appreciated the call and explanation, which was professional and left a good impression. I would consider applying for future roles here if they match my skills.
- Can you share an example of when you demonstrated innovation in your current position?
