Software Engineer
My process started with a recruiter call, then I had to take a coding test on an online platform. The test results showed I did better than 88% of candidates who passed, but the company seems to only want candidates who scored 100%, as I got a generic rejection email saying they couldn't proceed with my application. I wasn't happy because it felt like they wasted my time with the test.

Customer Success Manager
The recruiter was great and helpful. It would be good if they responded in UK time though. They did want to discuss compensation early on, which I think is generally low for Success Managers in the US. The process had a few steps: a screening call, then I met with the hiring manager, followed by a chat with a director. After that, I had a presentation that lasted about an hour with the director and hiring manager. The presentation was about a real customer scenario where I had to make an Executive Business Review (EBR), discussing renewal management, client success, and fixing a feature adoption problem. It was a lot of work to create that from scratch. The final step was a meeting with the General Manager of the Americas, who seemed very sales-oriented. If I'd known they were looking for someone with a sales background from the start, I might not have bothered. The Success team is changing a lot right now, and it seems they're still figuring out their structure and strategy with the new hiring manager.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure?
Client Success Executive
I applied online and was then contacted by HR on LinkedIn. We exchanged messages and had a brief phone call where we discussed the role, my experience, and the company. It seemed like a good fit. I was then invited for an interview in Manchester. The interview was pretty relaxed and followed a standard format, asking for examples of my experience. It was clear it's a sales-focused role with targets. I was told they wanted to hire quickly and I should hear back by the end of the week or early the next. I didn't hear anything for over a week, so I contacted HR for an update and was told they were still interviewing, which contradicted what I was told initially. After another 2-3 weeks, still no response. It's disappointing given the time off work, travel, and effort involved, especially without any updates or a final outcome.
- Could you provide an instance from your past experience where you demonstrated...?
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
Email Marketing Consultant
I was very comfortable with the interview process. First, I spoke with someone from HR. Then, I met the office manager for the US office in person. After that, I had a Skype interview with the Sales Manager at the time. They asked me to demo their platform as part of the sales process to see if I could figure out what questions to ask and how best to talk to potential customers. Finally, I met with the SVP for North America and two other SVPs of Sales.
