So, there were two stages in the interview. The first stage was meeting with a Principal Software Engineer and a Line Manager. I didn't make it to the second stage, which would have been a meeting with an Engineering Manager and a Scrum Master.

I had a really positive experience with the interview process at Domino Printing. A referral likely led to a virtual interview. The first interview had two parts: one with the hiring manager (a Director) and another with two key stakeholders (also Directors). The second interview was scheduled with the hiring manager and an HR representative. I got an offer shortly after the second interview, which I accepted. Their online system kept me updated, and everyone I met was great and made me feel comfortable.

So, the interview process started with a 30-minute Zoom call with the Hiring Manager. Right after that, I had a 2-hour in-person interview at their offices with the hiring manager and a senior executive, and then later with HR and the team lead. The first chat went really well; it was great talking to someone so professional and direct, and I got a fantastic impression of the company. The second interview was also good. The HR person mentioned they'd get back to me by the end of the week with a decision, but that never happened. I ended up emailing them to follow up after two weeks, and they just ghosted me. It really left a terrible impression because it’s just basic courtesy to let candidates know where they stand. It seems like this isn't the first time this has happened based on other reviews, with excuses given online instead of private follow-ups.

Had an initial screening that went fine. Then had a second interview with HR from the UK office, which was really unprofessional and a letdown. The HR person mentioned a "bias" towards hiring people with manufacturing experience and that this was their preference for the role I was interviewing for. It felt wrong to hear that, especially since it was clear I didn't have a manufacturing background. It was a waste of everyone's time. After that, the company ghosted me when I followed up.
