The interview process involved three phone calls. First, I spoke with an HR representative. Then, I had a call with the manager of the role I applied for. Finally, I spoke with a technical person who reports to the manager. The interviews were well-organized and followed a schedule. They mostly focused on my background and my potential to help the company achieve its goals.

I got a call from HR in Canada, then they set up an in-person interview in downtown Denver. The interview was onsite in their office, which was several floors up. The job was a contract role for a tester on new software rollouts. They asked me some questions about how I'd handle certain situations and about my background. I got the offer two weeks later.

  • How would you deal with a situation where a test defect was found after you had already tested and cleared it?

The interview process was the typical interview process. Although, the gentleman interviewing me was not inviting and did not represent the company very well. I asked how training would go, and he responded saying he doesn’t have any of that planned out just yet and he was more worried about finding someone for the position first. After speaking with him, I knew he was set in his ways and is not the type to learn from others. I’m very happy I did not move forward with this company.

It was a normal interview process with a panel of 3 people. They went over my resume, skills, and projects. Then they asked some situation-based questions, and also questions about SQL basics, automation, Jenkins, basic election knowledge, server configuration, and load analysis. They also asked about the tools I used in my project. And there was a question about commute or transit since it's work from office only.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you describe how you'd manage a scenario where an access card that should grant entry is unexpectedly denied during a demonstration?
