First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Dome Construction.
Assistant Project Manager
The interview process had 3 rounds in total. It was a pretty informal meeting with team members of various levels and responsibilities. The questions asked weren't super difficult but definitely gauged you as an individual and for cultural fit.
- Can you describe a challenge you've recently faced and overcome?
Project Engineer
Got a message from HR for an initial interview. We talked for about 30 minutes, and it seemed to go pretty well. After that, though, I just never heard back. It felt a bit weird not getting even a quick update after we'd already done the interview.
- What are the standard questions you ask in an HR interview?
Product Manager
The interview process was respectful of my time, which is appreciated when changing jobs. Confidentiality was maintained throughout. Some upper management made themselves available to ensure I was a good fit for Dome and that Dome was a good fit for me. It was a good experience with good conversation, and we understood each other's expectations. It began with a discussion about an opportunity and the company's needs; I wasn't actively looking to change jobs. As we talked, we discovered shared values, which was probably the most important cultural aspect I was seeking. I guess we both passed the test, and I accepted the offer.
- There weren't any specific questions that felt like a definitive test of my suitability.
Project Engineer
It started with a phone interview with HR, then I had to fill out a personality survey. After that, I had an in-person interview where I met with three different people: two PMs and one Supervisor. The interviews were mostly open-ended conversations rather than direct questioning, but there were still some typical interview questions.
- Tell me about your greatest accomplishment in a past job related experience.
