It was a pretty standard process. The interview had two parts — the first was with HR, where we talked about my background and if I was a good fit. The second part was with the hiring manager, and it was more about my technical skills and how I would handle job-related situations.

The initial communication was good and the interview was normal until we talked about salary. The ad they posted had a salary range that was not the actual salary of the position. When I asked why they would advertise a higher amount he said it was to weed out all the people who work in the restaurant business that "want" to be in management. Waste of my time.

The hiring and interview process for a GM is a lengthy but worthwhile process. You interview with different members of leadership as well as doing a “Day in the Life of” in a restaurant. Everyone that I met with personally or talked to on the phone was very much invested and involved in the process and they make you feel like you’re already a part of the team. It was a great experience.

The interview process was pretty standard. I first spoke with a recruiter, then I interviewed with the director, and finally the vp. The recruiter was fantastic and made me feel really comfortable with the whole process, which really motivated me to continue. Each subsequent interview made me even more excited about the possibility of working with the company.
