Mechanic
The interview process was pretty simple. The hiring manager asked me 10 questions that were all about the job. I also talked about my past jobs and why I moved on from them.
- Are you scared of heights?
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences?
- What were your reasons for leaving your previous jobs?
Manager
Most of the questions are behavioral based interview questions. Make sure you use the STAR method for your responses. S – Situation: Set the context. Describe the situation or challenge you were facing. T – Task: Explain your responsibility or the goal you needed to achieve. A – Action: Detail the specific actions you took to address the situation. R – Result: Share the outcome of your actions, using measurable results if possible.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to ensure compliance with strict agency or company protocols.
Specialist
Got a quick response and onboarding. They asked usual questions about who are the right people and how the team is made up. Also, they talked a lot about work life balance and the workplace culture. It was an easy interview and they called back quickly for onboarding.
- How do you handle working with people who are difficult or don't respond?
Military Personnel
Joining the Marine Corps starts with talking to a recruiter to see if you're a good fit for the military. They'll check your background, how fit you are, and why you want to join. You gotta take the ASVAB test to see what jobs you qualify for. There’s also a physical test to see if you can handle the training. We also do a background check. Then you go to MEPS for a medical check to make sure you're healthy enough for service. At MEPS, there’s also an interview to make sure you’re serious about joining, and then you’ll take the Oath of Enlistment. All along, the recruiters are figuring out if you’ve got what it takes for the tough life of a Marine.
- What are your aspirations for your future?
