Senior Software Engineer
Interviewed with 4 Senior Software Engineers for a 1-hour technical session that felt mostly like a Q&A, though it had some conversational elements. Then, I had a 1-hour chat with my potential manager, which was more of a casual get-to-know-you, discussing goals and culture fit.
- Can you elaborate on SOLID principles?
- What are the best practices for Systems Design?
- How do you approach Testing?
Integration Analyst
I had 2 phone calls with them and then an in-person interview with 2 interviewers. I also got a brief tour of the office and met some people not involved in the hiring.
- Tell me about your experience with the job duties.
- How comfortable are you with the different job duties?
Account Manager
Super long hiring process, which is pretty cool if you're trying to get a feel for the company culture. It took about 7 hours spread across 4 different interviews with people at various levels. The whole thing has been dragging on forever, like 4 months now, and I still don't have a decision. Honestly, the only way you'll even get an interview is if you've got a contact inside the company who can get your foot in the door.
- Typical stuff.
- Just be yourself.
QA Analyst
I applied via the company's website and got a call back about a week later. The call involved a lot of basic QA questions, including my knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, my experience with SQL, and how I collaborate in a team.
- Using a balance scale and two tries, how would you find the one ball with a different weight out of seven identical balls?
