My interview experience at Docplanner started with a screening call from the Talent Acquisition team. Then, I had an interview with my potential manager. After that, there was a technical test, specifically a whiteboard interview. This was followed by several discussions with different technical teams, ranging from leadership to team members, and also with a business area director. It was a really thorough and well-organized process. They were very open about the role, covering both the good parts and the challenges. I especially appreciated how the Talent Acquisition team kept in touch personally and the feedback I received at the end, explaining why they thought I was a good fit and areas where I could improve.

This was a top-notch interview process, possibly the best I've seen! Everything was a green flag from the start. The recruiter was super supportive, guiding me, giving feedback, and answering all my questions. The interviews themselves, especially the product sense and whiteboard parts, were actually fun! It was a refreshing change to enjoy the hiring process. Each stage felt like a chance to show my value and understand the company better. The process included: a recruiter call, a hiring manager call, a whiteboard exercise (a comprehensive hypothetical product sense case involving basic math and metric definitions), an EM call, and an optional team call.

The process was way too long. At first, it seemed like at least I knew what I was signing up for: a 6 step process. It ended up being a 9 step process, extra steps added right before the end. This all took more than 4 months. There was a lot of communication, but while preaching about transparency, DP is very vague about salary budgets. Salary stated in JD is misleading, it's the max you can make in the role when you're here growing - not what one could be offered when it's a good fit. Relocation package mentioned is misleading: no support for actually moving, just for a flight ticket. Upon receiving the an offer, they were "open to discussing" though weren't interested in moving at all & after accepting the offer (and 2 weeks of negotiating), DP stated that they do not negotiate and that they don't like people trying. DP restated their offer & enthusiasm for having me join. Accepted the same day, only to have DP withdraw the offer the day after. What an incredible mess & a waste of time.
