Had a chat with HR, then with POs. Did a case study. Then a chat with the team. The talks with POs and the team were quite long, over an hour each. I really liked the company and the people I spoke with. I have to admit, the process felt a bit exhausting. I was rejected after the team conversation stage, which is fine. But the feedback was wild: they said they were looking for a more lead profile, even though the job description didn't mention that. It took them 4 stages to decide they wanted a lead profile? I wasted time, took a holiday to do the case study, and the feedback I got was absurd. I've been rejected many times in job processes, but never one as frustrating as this. I don't recommend it.

The hiring process was pretty smooth. I applied through a job site one day, and the next day they contacted me to schedule the interview. I attended on the scheduled day and initially spoke with someone from HR. She mentioned there would be two more stages: a conversation with another HR person and with both CEOs. However, she managed to coordinate schedules, and I spoke with all three on the same day. The following day, they set up another time for me to speak with them again. This time, I talked with a different HR person and the area manager. Everyone was very kind and made me feel comfortable during the conversations.

I sent my application through the company's website and got a response a few days later asking about my salary expectations. When I replied, they said it was a bit high and if I was willing to negotiate. I said I was willing and asked about the budget. Minutes later, they sent me a test to redesign the company's portal within 48 hours. Two days later, they followed up on the test and I explained that they hadn't replied to my previous email and how complicated it was to do such a complex test without having aligned this issue beforehand (especially for us, who almost never receive feedback on these super laborious tests we do). Honestly, a flawed selection process, lacking empathy and transparency. And apparently, I wasn't the only one with this impression. Time to rethink this recruitment and selection team, Docket.
