So, the recruiter texted me first, out of nowhere. Weird message and format, but whatever. Then I talked to the hiring manager who spent most of the time trashing the previous PM. Hardly any actual questions got asked. After that, I had a round with an engineer, which was actually professional and what I'd expect from a decent company. Then came a 3.5-hour onsite. It involved a case study with absolutely no instructions, and the admin wouldn't answer any questions for clarification. I ended up having to invent a problem and solve it, not even sure if it was the right one. (They rejected me for not having a structured case study answer based on a core problem, which, again, they refused to explain). The following 4 interviews were just vibe checks. Nobody asked real questions or even looked at my resume. They were totally winging it. As I said, no offer because my case study answer, which I tried to tailor based on the vague prompt of 'use tech to solve a problem in a made-up scenario,' wasn't structured enough.

I interviewed with the Director of Operations, West Coast. They asked me about my past experience in Sales and Management. I was also asked situational questions about how I would handle different scenarios.

Behavioral

I had a really bad interview experience. A recruiter reached out, and I was scheduled to talk to two interviewers. They were both 15 minutes late and didn't even say sorry. The interview, which was supposed to be 30 minutes, felt rushed and got cut short. I tried to stay professional and followed up, but I never got a response. No feedback, no updates, just silence. It felt very unprofessional, and the lack of communication afterward was disappointing.

I applied online and a recruiter from the company contacted me to set up a Teams call. She was a little late and the call lasted less than 15 minutes. She mentioned that the role wouldn't involve employee relations, which I thought was a bit strange as HRBPs usually handle those. She said I'd hear from the hiring manager in a few days, but I never did. She also mentioned that the next steps would be to meet with two other team members.
