Rapid Response Professional
The interview process was pretty easy going and you should be ready for questions about the job. There were a few rounds, which was fine, and the people were super friendly. This was a temporary job, so be prepared for the possibility of not being kept on if they don't decide to retain you.
- What makes you want to be a part of the DNC?
Benefit Manager
The initial interview was pretty straightforward, but I noticed a lot of concerning signs right away. They mentioned that employee turnover is high there, with people typically staying for about six months before leaving. Another big red flag was that I applied for a management role, but after I was told I'd be moving to the next stage, HR decided to change the position to a specialist role, cutting the salary by about 20%. It felt like a bait-and-switch. My impression is that they have issues with organization, keeping employees, and being clear about things.
- Can you discuss your overall experience in relation to what this role requires?
Director of Human Resources
An operations team member emailed me about a phone interview. It was about 20-30 minutes long and they were nice, asking typical questions. Sadly, I didn't hear back after. I emailed to thank them, but no reply. A few weeks later, I followed up about my candidacy and still no response. I checked LinkedIN and saw the job was filled. They ghosted me, which I really hope isn't typical of their organization.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What motivates your interest in this particular role?
Learning Program Designer
Applied for a temp to mid-November role, but ultimately decided against it. Received a call from a hiring manager the week after applying. They mentioned needing to fill multiple positions for significant 'learning' initiatives and sent out an assignment. I completed the assignment, which involved creating a marketing flyer PDF to promote training and a job aid, by the deadline (Saturday). However, on Wednesday, I got an email stating they missed my submission. Since then (over a month ago), they've ghosted me, although my samples might not have been great.
- Would you support Joe Biden's re-election efforts?
