Behavioral Presentation

It started with a video interview with three people, 2 HR, 1 overall responsible person from the department. Standard questions about qualifications, motivation for change, salary expectations etc. Pleasant atmosphere. Then an online test (personality/goals - not very differentiated - and leadership). Afterwards, an on-site presentation and discussion. Little time for own questions in the discussions and a lengthy decision process. Positive: very authentic, friendly and open climate.

I had a meeting with the team leaders and a works council member. However, our expectations differed, and it was generally for a position I wouldn't have applied for in hindsight.

The initial conversation was held online. After the initial selection, there was feedback on the first interview and information about the next steps. The conversation was dynamic, not a Q&A, and very relaxed, on an equal footing. All questions were asked and answered. The rest of the selection process was discussed at the end. An invitation for a site visit and scheduling for another interview followed. In the meantime, online tests were conducted for personality, career values, and leadership behavior. A multi-page evaluation by a service provider was given, valid for two years as a psychological assessment. The evaluation was 95% accurate for me and a good tool for decision-making for both sides, assessing mutual fit. The second interview was also relaxed, discussing parts of the online tests. Finally, the decision date was announced. On the decision day, I received a call that a decision had been made, but for understandable reasons, another candidate was chosen. There was positive feedback on the entire application process, and they expressed strong interest in a future collaboration. Six weeks later, feedback came with a new job offer, and a meeting was scheduled to present the offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

There were 1 HR representative, 2 potential managers, and 1 works council representative. We started with small talk and introductions, where I presented my background, my reasons for applying to the position and the company. Part of the interview was conducted in English. Strengths/weaknesses were also assessed, though perhaps indirectly. Salary expectations were touched upon. I was asked if I had any questions, and then the next steps were explained.
