The recruiter didn't seem to know much about the role, like the necessary skills or background. They didn't know much about marketing. The process included a skills assessment project that asked for a lot from the candidate and needed design tools, though they did say to do "to the best of your abilities." This project felt like asking for free work. It's better to ask for a portfolio. A second interviewer canceled and rescheduled last minute. They didn't seem to value the candidate's time, considering the interview and the work asked.

I applied on LinkedIn and got a response in about a week. First, there was a phone interview with the HR coordinator. They mentioned that if I advanced, the next step would be a video interview with the hiring manager. Sadly, I didn't get selected and was notified by email a few days later. It seems like a great company, but I wish they had provided specific feedback on why I wasn't chosen to move forward, especially since the interview seemed to go well and the HR coordinator didn't point out any issues.

So I had an initial phone call with a recruiter, and after that went well because I had super relevant experience, they moved me to the hiring manager. But then, a few days later, I got this really rude email saying the hiring manager thought my salary expectations were too high for someone with my level of experience. Honestly, my salary expectations were totally in line with the market and pretty standard. I'd suggest looking at your compensation plans, especially with how the job market is right now.

It was pretty chill, but still professional. The interview was on the shorter side, maybe 25-30 minutes, which might seem quick based on what HR and career advisors say, but they really got to the point about how well you'd fit. This was for a dev role in the creative department, so it felt more casual and really focused on whether I could do what they needed.
