Attorney
It's a multi-step process. It's thorough and in-depth, but not much more than typical these days. They are selective, and moving forward depends on approval from a committee.
- What are your expectations from a firm?
Administrative Assistant
I found the job posting on Indeed and was called a few days later to set up an interview. The interview was the following week. I liked the office, it was big and had a great view. The interview moved quickly, asking about my past and future goals. The questions were standard screening ones, but the speed of the interview was challenging because they asked the next question as soon as I finished answering. I was told there would be 3-4 interviews total: a group interview, one with the lawyers, and I can't remember the last one. They said they'd let me know about the next steps. The following week, I got an email saying they chose someone else. It was a good experience overall, and everyone was friendly. I actually thought the difficulty was good because it prepared me for other interviews.
- Which high school did you attend?
- What are your intentions with your degree?
- What is your 5-year outlook for yourself?
Marketing
Being asked to describe yourself is a very common interview question. What is more, it’s a question that usually comes at the beginning of an interview. The hiring manager may ask something like, “How would you describe yourself?”
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What unique skills do you offer this company?
- What is a personal weakness you possess?
Operations Analyst
First, there was a phone screening where they asked about my background, analytical skills, and my experience with Excel and SQL. Then, I had a video interview with the hiring manager about teamwork and how I'd optimize operations.
- Can you tell me about your experience with SQL and Excel spreadsheets?
