Manager
Had a few rounds, some technical and some related to the job description and my resume. The HR rounds were pretty tough too, asking job role related questions and how I'd handle certain situations based on the job description.
- How would you handle a situation based on the job description?
Confirmatory Typist
First, they called me for a phone interview on the spot. Then, I went in for an in-person interview and met with HR and the department manager. They were both really nice and easy to talk to. After that, I got an email to schedule a phone interview with the Director of Donor Management, who was traveling at the time. Everyone was friendly and knew a lot about the organization and the job. We kept in touch via email, and about three weeks later, they called to offer me the job.
- Could you share your main strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- What motivates you to work for DKMS?
Back Office
The interview involved two stages focused on competencies and past work experience. It started formally, emphasizing transferable skills. First, I met with the manager, and then with senior management. The environment was very relaxed and welcoming, making me feel at ease. We had some casual conversation before diving into my CV. We also discussed the company's history, how they operate, and some educational information about blood stem donation.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experience?
Medical Advisor
HR reached out to me for an initial phone call and then I had an interview the very next day. This interview was with the HR Director, who covered my previous work history, my motivations for seeking this role, and provided an overview of the company's organizational structure. Following that, I interviewed with a director and was informed that I'd hear back within a few weeks after they finished the initial round of interviews.
- The director inquired about my experience with a subject not listed in the job description.
