First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at divvyDOSE.
Bilingual Representative
I had a phone interview, and then about a week later, I had a Zoom interview with a manager. I felt like it went really well. A week after that, I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out. They told me all the spots were filled but they'd keep me in mind. About two weeks later, they called me back and offered me the job. I accepted and even did a drug test. Then, on my last day of my two-week notice, they called to say they had to revoke the offer because of major changes and the position was no longer available.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you've faced?
Product Manager
The interview journey started with a recruiter chat, then I spoke with the boss. After that, I had a case study to complete at home which I thought was great. The process wrapped up with a three-hour video conference, with two different people interviewing me each hour. All in all, the process felt pretty reasonable. I do think I got caught off guard and wasn't ready for some specific questions about my past experience, which I definitely should have prepared for, and I believe that's what cost me the offer. I was thankful to get feedback from my recruiter about their decision not to hire me. It seems like a good place to work, so it's a shame it didn't work out.
- Can you share an instance where you disagreed with the development team and explain how you resolved that situation?
Operations Manager
The interview process was pretty straightforward, and I was advanced to the second round interviews. I took a day off work for it, but then they told me it was a mistake that I didn't make it to the next round and canceled my interview. It's frustrating because they could have just gone through with the interview instead of making the candidate feel bad. They couldn't even keep candidates straight. If they can't keep track of people, maybe it's not a place you'd want to work.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
Software Engineer
The hiring process started with a phone screen. If successful, the CTO would call, followed by a coding challenge. Positive results from the coding challenge led to an in-person interview, which lasted about 4 hours. The in-person part was quite intense, involving an hour of rapid-fire questions from three managers. Then, there were meetings for 'culture compatibility' and a detailed technical discussion about the coding challenge. I felt prepared because I have 7 years of industry experience. The CTO mentioned feedback would be provided, even if not selected. I got an email the next day stating they were moving forward with other candidates. Despite assurances of feedback, I haven't received any after requesting it twice, and it feels like I've been ghosted. I'm unsure about what this company is looking for.
