First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Diversus Health.
Black Belt
I had an online Teams meeting with the hiring manager and someone from a third party company Diversus Health uses. I think it went well, mostly situational questions. They said they'd call me about next steps, but then ghosted me. Later, I got an email saying they chose another candidate, and the job is still open months later. I asked for feedback via email but never heard back. I meet all the qualifications.

Clinician
I applied for two jobs and ended up having one in-person interview with both hiring managers. They asked typical interview questions and went over the job details and what a normal day would look like. They also asked questions about my resume and expertise. The longest part was the background and reference checks, which seemed to go on forever with constant requests for more paperwork, like old W-2s from 2004 to verify past employment. This whole process was handled by an external company. There were also some quick tests on Microsoft products and typing speed. I had to go to the HR office for the Microsoft test because it didn't work on my Mac. Overall, talking with the managers and the HR staff was great, but the background check company was a bit much with their demands.
- Standard questions about my background and suitability for the role.
Case Manager
The basic experience needed is from any job in community-based mental health services or residential treatment centers. A "liberal mindset" is important for this job. The role involves referring clients (mental health patients) to various community services or, ideally, within the company's other programs to keep billing with Medicaid/Medicare. You need to be a "follower" and align with company trends, setting aside "rogue" ideas like the "conservative" idealogy of strongly teaching independence and self-reliance, as this could reduce client numbers or contact, leading to fewer billable hours. This role is great for socialist-minded people who will support the status quo. The company is driven by a billable hours matrix, not a client-centered success matrix; job performance is essentially determined by billable hours, with little regard for client progress/success.
- How would you manage a challenging client?
Engagement Manager
So I applied and got a rejection, then they reached out for a phone interview. The hiring manager apologized for the initial rejection and said they were really interested in talking to me. The phone interview seemed to go well and they explained what would happen next. Then I got invited for a second and final interview on the day they said they'd follow up. I was actually pretty impressed with how they were handling things up to this point. But the in-person interview was a bit of a letdown. One person was late, and while we waited, I was told they had 14 questions and I shouldn't take too long on answers. This felt a bit off since I was on time. Both interviewers were professional, but we ran out of time before I could ask all my questions. They said to email or call with more questions and they'd let me know their decision the next week. I sent a thank you and my remaining questions to the hiring manager, but haven't heard back, which was surprising given how responsive they were earlier. I thought the whole experience and how I was treated in person left a negative impression, making me reconsider the role even if I was on the fence about it before.
