First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Diversitech.
EHS Safety Coordinator
Had to pass four stage interview process 1. Staffing Agency rep phone call 2. Come on site to meet with the plant manager 3. Phone interview with corporate EHS Safety Supervisor 4. Return to site again to meet with whole site-management team members. (Total of 6-7)
- What is your experience level in manufacturing environments?
Forklift Operator
Great interview experience. It would be helpful if you already have experience with driving both standup and sit down forklifts. They will ask about your forklift driving experience. They will also ask about computer and scanner experience.
- Just need to be willing to learn and drive a forklift.
Commodity Manager
It was awkward. We used a third party staffing company for the initial screen. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, followed by an on-site panel interview. The feedback from the panel to the staffing company was that by using the word "situation" in my response to a situational question, I somehow showed I was lacking a developed business vocabulary.
- Can you describe a past situation where you had to be creative to meet a requirement?
Product Development Engineer
I met with the VP of Engineering and Product Development, who gave me an overview of the company and their work. Then, the engineering manager elaborated on the specifics of the engineer role. I also connected with some other folks from different departments. They've recently adjusted their hiring process to screen candidates more efficiently. You'll first talk to an engineering team lead and the engineering manager before involving others. Expect a software competency test and the Wonderlic Test too.
- Tell me about your skills with design software and your understanding of design principles.
- Regarding this running product, what do you think is causing the sound it's making?
- What is this product composed of in terms of material?
