The interview process was pretty straightforward. I had some virtual meetings and then some in-person ones with a few team members. They asked me about what I've done before and how I've dealt with various situations.

Behavioral Technical

I had a video call with the IT Systems Manager based in Stamford. It wasn't the usual Help Desk Technician questions to see if you fit or how you can solve their problems. Instead, it was more like screening questions, asking random stuff from my resume. He didn't really ask job-specific questions about how my skills and experience would make me a good candidate. Watch out for tricky questions, or they'll screen you out if he picks apart your resume. If you pass that first part, you get a second round, a technical interview with the IT Director in San Francisco. Honestly, I wish it was a three-person panel with the IT Director and Lead to cut down on bias and ask better questions that show my value as a candidate.

  • Random questions from my resume, most of which had nothing to do with the job or my skills.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved multiple rounds and a technical test. I completed all stages successfully. While most interviewers were pleasant, some seemed distracted and a bit rude. After the interviews, I was told I'd hear back within a week. When I followed up, HR did not respond, which was frustrating as DivcoWest didn't acknowledge the time I invested. I feel it might be a good thing I didn't get an offer, given this experience and what it might say about the company culture.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Questions about your fit for the role were asked.
