The interview was very personable and sweet! They really wanted to get to know me and pick my brain! I found that confidence went a long way in how I addressed my interests and my stance on certain political issues. Of course, as this position is affected by politics, your stance is important.

Never heard back after the initial interview. I had to change my response to a personal legacy question because my original answer wasn't considered legacy-worthy. The interviewers were nice and engaging. They ask about willingness to volunteer. If you say no, they'll explain how demanding the full-time role is, requiring time after 5 pm and overnight availability. They'll only proceed if you're interested in volunteering as an organizer.

Since I had an employee referral and had previously interned elsewhere in the company, I skipped the initial phone screen and any skill/clinical knowledge/therapeutic style assessments. I had a single interview with two senior-level people from the organization. They were nice and answered all my questions, giving me a lot of info about the department and the job.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. I met with two supervising attorneys and we had a good talk about law and its impact on the union. We went over job duties, any worries about dealing with clients, and what a typical day looks like. I submitted a writing sample and then got an offer about two weeks later.
