Lead QA Engineer
The interview process involved three rounds. The initial round was conducted virtually, followed by a face-to-face interview for the second round. Both the first and second rounds were purely technical. The final round included the hiring manager and a technical assessment. After completing all rounds, I was informed about a requirement to be in the office five days a week with strict working hours. Despite agreeing to these terms, the HR took two weeks to inform me that they could not offer even 20% of my current salary. My advice to Talent Acquisition and HR is to align CTC offers with market standards before wasting candidates' time and energy. It's also crucial to get all necessary details from the Hiring Manager and HR before making any commitments to a candidate.
- Questions about Quality Assurance principles and practices.
- Questions related to the Java programming language.
- Questions that involved the Hiring Manager and technical aspects.
Engineer
It started with a pre-placement online assessment that included aptitude and coding questions. Then there was a technical round where they really focused on coding, and also asked about networking concepts like OSI/TCP-IP, and SQL, and OOP. After that, there was a managerial or team-based discussion to dig into project architecture and the technologies I've used. Lastly, there was an HR/behavioral round to talk about fit, motivations, and my resume details.
- Can you explain the OSI model and how TCP/IP relates to it?
- Describe the OSI model and how TCP/IP fits in.
- Can you explain the OSI model and its relationship with TCP/IP?
Software Engineer
The interview process had 3 rounds: an online coding and aptitude round, a technical interview round, and then an HR round. The first round was an online coding/aptitude test, which I don't remember much about since it was from college placements. Then there was a technical round where they asked about OOPS concepts, and I had to solve problems on linked lists and arrays, but no tree or graph questions. They also asked about my projects and which technical subjects I found interesting. Finally, an HR round where they asked about handling stress and staying organized.
- Can you talk about your projects and the lessons you gained from them?
- Which technical subjects spark your interest?
- Could you elaborate on OOPS concepts?
