First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Discover Bank.
Banker
The interview process is pretty simple. First, they ask some basic questions like 'Who are you?', 'Why do you want this role?', and 'Why do you want to work for the company?'. After that, there's a short test, maybe about 10 minutes, and then you do a role play based on the assignment you just finished.
- Can you explain what a Shared Value business model is?
Scheduling Coordinator
There were two rounds for the interview process. They asked situational questions. The first interview was with a recruiter. The second interview was with two members of the scheduling coordinating team. The interviews were respectful and friendly.
- Can you describe how you've handled scheduling interviews for busy executives?
Credit Analyst
My interview experience was pretty smooth and the panel was very friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an offer because my skills didn't align with their requirements. Otherwise, I'd be interested in interviewing for other roles.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself and your current role?
Applications Engineer
The first technical call got rescheduled, and the interviewer immediately started asking questions without any introduction. He focused only on REST, even though it wasn't specified in the job description. He also made sarcastic remarks when my answers weren't what he expected. It felt like a complete waste of time.
- Can you tell me about security measures when using REST?
