I went through 8 different conversations and also had to complete a full project and presentation. The recruiter had already told me I was overqualified, so in the end, it seemed like they just wanted me to do the project to mine data from me. My advice: don't do unpaid, comprehensive projects.

It was a lot of conversations, like 6 rounds. Started with just casual chat, then I actually got to talk to the people who would be working in the department. The last part was a whole half-day thing, super tiring, and they couldn't meet my salary expectations, so I passed.

Applied about a week ago and got an email. First was a phone chat using their voice server. Talked about my studies, why I applied, my strengths/weaknesses, and my knowledge of gaming/esports culture. A few days later, another person gave me a take-home test due over the weekend, asking me to analyze potential value of a Discord partnership with gaming personalities. After submitting, a few days passed and I was invited to their monthly game night, which was fun. But after that, I heard nothing. I followed up a week later and was told they moved on with another candidate.
