A friendly lady gave a nice welcome. Then you introduce yourself, talk about your strengths and weaknesses, and explain why you applied. Then questions are asked like: How do you imagine a typical process in the branch? What do you think takes up the most time in a day? Advising customers, stocking shelves, operating the cash register, and other typical questions.

I'm still so impressed and happy that I was invited and had this positive conversation. There were two interviews in total. First, there was a phone call for an initial screening, a very brief introduction, about whether the company and employee were a good fit. It was a very pleasant conversation, and I was directly informed about benefits, my potential salary, and the next steps without having to ask. Since I applied for several positions in the area, I also asked if it was possible to get the job closer to my home, and that was possible without any issues. The conversation went well, and I was invited to an in-person interview at the desired branch very quickly. This was super informative, and I found the store manager's questions to be great. I felt like they really wanted to get to know me and wanted to hire someone who wants to stay with the company long-term and brings motivation. Nothing was sugarcoated; it was emphasized that the daily work in the store can naturally be stressful and involves certain efforts, where resilience is naturally important. I was very happy about the transparency and also that when I mentioned I'm a mother, I wasn't treated differently. I got the impression that the company is very well-organized and modern, with good communication, which is very important to me. You just feel welcome and treated fairly from the start of the conversation. At the end, I was told they would get back to me within a week at the latest, but I received the call the very next day that they had chosen me. All in all, I am still impressed and very much looking forward to the job, especially because I really wanted to work at Rossmann and I hope to stay there long-term. I'm excited to see what the future holds there and looking forward to starting!

The interview process was unorganized and unfriendly. No consideration was given to having a small child, or anything similar. It would be best if one didn't have a child at all. But that's the case with all employers. That's about child-friendly... family-friendly.
