First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DING TEA.
Cashier Barista
I applied online and then they got back to me to set up an in-person meeting. We chatted about my hobbies and interests, and they asked about my availability and how many shifts I could do each week. They also explained the training, mentioning there's a lot to memorize quickly.
- Can you tell me about your hobbies, extracurriculars, and sports?
Barista
It was a pretty chill environment. Maybe a 20-minute interview in the drink area. They were also interested in how long I'd be able to work, as they get a lot of summer interest but wanted someone long-term.
- How would you handle a customer who claims their drink was made incorrectly?
Tearista
You'll need to schedule your interview time and date using a spreadsheet. Make sure to note whether you prefer an in-person chat or a phone call. If you choose in-person, just show up at the shop when we've set.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- What's your approach when dealing with a customer who's being difficult?
- In your own words, what is customer service?
Cashier Barista
It was a super quick and easy process. We did it over Zoom and it only lasted about 10 minutes. I guess it could take longer depending on what they ask, though. The owner and the Shift Manager were both there for it.
- How would you handle a customer who is unhappy?
- Tell me about your previous work experience.
- What are your thoughts on working collaboratively with others?
