Rewards Lead
The interview process was pretty standard. First, there was a 30-minute chat with the Hiring Managers where they asked about my current job and past experiences. They also asked about the Total Rewards role and why I wanted it. The second round was a bit shorter, with the skip-level manager, and they asked similar questions about my experience and compensation. After the second round, I got the offer in about 1-2 days. The main issue was they offered a flat percentage increase on my current salary, even though I'd told them my expectations and the job posting had a salary range. The offer was 1 LPA less than the lower end of the range, and the recruiter mentioned they couldn't go higher. It didn't make sense to take a job in Total Rewards with such rigid rules, especially when I had to relocate and go from remote to 5 days in the office. On top of that, the recruiter made a mistake calculating my CTC, only deducting the employer's contribution, not mine, which I had to point out. The unprofessionalism of discussing CTC over WhatsApp with typos made me lose trust in their HR team. They also wanted me to resign and join in 30 days but wouldn't share the Offer Letter until I joined, only a Letter of Intent, which felt strange. Overall, the hiring and HR process felt outdated and slow, and despite the exciting role, the low CTC offer and lack of professionalism made me hesitant.
