The interview experience was pleasant, and I'd consider interviewing again because I really like working here. The process did take a while though, which gave me time to research for the interview, and that was helpful.

I had three interviews, each with a small group of people. Since they were from different teams, I think they wanted to see where I'd fit best in the company.

There were only 3 interview reviews, and the whole process was a big waste of time because the organization is disorganized, clueless, and unprofessional. I was offered a job, but I had to ask for a job description, and even then, it wasn't detailed. When I got the offer, I had questions about benefits, and the person in charge took days to reply. When she did, she wasn't friendly and clearly hadn't read my questions, so I had to follow up again. After accepting the job, the background checks started. There are two: a federal one and a Dignari one. The people handling them were uncommunicative, unhelpful, and the federal person was rude and obstructive. I have had higher clearances before and was never treated so poorly. The federal background check person gave me a deadline right after Christmas to finish lots of paperwork and schedule in-person appointments, acting like they were on a power trip. After the holidays, Dignari contacted me about the background checks. I told them I had asked both parties a crucial question about filling out a form section, and one said they didn't know and would get help but never did. The other person refused to answer even after multiple requests. Neither of them told the hiring manager about their failures. The hiring manager kept sending me questions, even though I explained I was sick, instead of getting a clear answer from the government side. This back-and-forth with Dignari for an extra 1.5 weeks made my recovery worse. This experience shows the company doesn't care about employee health and well-being, which is concerning for a government contractor known for dysfunction.

I had an initial call with the recruiter. Then I had a chat with the hiring manager. After that, I got a design assignment to redesign a Dignari powerpoint. I submitted it but never heard back. I really wish they had given me feedback or at least a rejection. If this is how they communicate during hiring, I can't imagine working there. It was a total waste of my time.
