I got a call from HR about a walk-in interview. When I got there, I registered and filled out some forms. First, I had an HR interview where they asked general background questions. Then, I had an Ops interview that was more about my skills and job abilities.

For the interview, they asked some basic questions about cloud concepts, Python, Terraform, and troubleshooting. The interview was set up by the recruiter, and two people from the company, Sashikumar and Kriti, were there. I started with my camera on, but saw neither of the interviewers had theirs on. After we talked about the job description, I decided to turn my camera off. Sashikumar then asked me to turn it back on. I asked if they would turn theirs on too before we went on. He said it was my job as the person being interviewed to have my camera on, but he didn't have to do the same. His attitude and response were not professional. Because of this, I told them I wasn't interested anymore and left the call. Their unprofessionalism was the main reason I decided not to continue.

Technical System Design Behavioral Presentation

So, the whole thing was like 3 to 4 rounds. It started with HR, then a technical deep dive, a system design part, and finally a leadership/behavioral chat. They really dug into system design and how things scale, plus Java concurrency stuff like thread pools and async REST. Also looked at cloud/microservices using AWS/Azure and Kubernetes. Leadership and communication skills were big too. It was moderately to highly challenging, testing both deep tech knowledge and leadership maturity. The interviewers were professional and the process felt structured. They asked broad questions that needed both coding and architectural thinking. To prep, they suggested balancing technical details with a leadership view, brushing up on cloud strategies, and practicing clear communication. Basically, you need to show you've got the architectural mastery and leadership chops.
