First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Digital Risk.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition from Digital Risk reached out to me on LinkedIn. After a phone screen, I was invited directly to an onsite interview. Although the Senior Manager couldn't make it, the Supervisor from the team conducted the 45-minute interview. They assessed my sourcing skills using boolean logic. I got an offer the next day. A few days later, when I called to accept, I was told the position was on hold and I'd be updated by the end of the day. I never heard back, and despite trying to reach the Senior Manager and Supervisor for a few days, there was no response. I eventually stopped trying.
- What is your reason for seeking a new job opportunity?
Mortgage Loan Processor
Got a call from a recruiter to talk about my resume and past experience. We went over salary, where the job is, and some perks. Then, I had an in-person chat with one of the processing managers. It was pretty chill. We reviewed my resume and background. They asked what I wanted in a job and chatted about the role. We also discussed the company and its benefits. I got to ask them stuff too. A couple days later, the recruiter called with a job offer, but it was contingent on passing a background check, drug test, previous employer verification, and a credit check. I was a bit nervous about the credit check since it's not perfect, but it all went through fine. Seems like they're mainly looking for major issues like bankruptcy. The whole thing took about 10 days. Then I had to wait another 3-4 days for the next training session to start.
- Can you discuss general loan processing topics?
Legal
Had a quick 30-minute phone chat. They basically asked what I knew about the company and threw in a few questions about the current state of the mortgage industry. I'd suggest brushing up on CFPB regulations beforehand. Also, it might be a good idea to look into licensing requirements. Terms like NMLS, HUD-1, and mortgage servicing and processing are things you should be familiar with before the call. The lawyers I spoke with were pretty nice. It can feel a bit intimidating, especially if you're a first-year student, but if you come prepared, you'll do great.
- Can you tell me what you know about Digital Risk?
Underwriter
Even though I have several years of experience, I was asked to do a job assessment with 40 calculation questions and only 59 minutes to complete, which is less than 2 minutes for each question. I learned that someone I know was given an in-person interview instead of an assessment and they didn't have more experience but possibly a degree. I think the assessment should be given to every eligible applicant or not at all. I was told they are moving forward without me. Shady company practices at this location.
