I found this job opening on employ florida which then directed me to the company's website where I filled out an online application. It took about 45 minutes to complete and included watching a video about the technician role followed by a problem-solving test with shapes and puzzles. No prior satellite installation experience is needed, though I have low voltage wiring experience. The next morning, I got a call for a phone interview. After that, I was scheduled for an in-person interview three days later. When I arrived at the office, everyone was friendly. I had to fill out a paper application for about 30 minutes, and then the manager interviewed me. He explained the job, mentioned it's a lot of work but pays well due to opportunities to earn money. After the interview, I went for a drug test at LabCorp the same day. They told me I'd hear back in 3-5 days. Two days later, they called to say I passed and offered me the job. I accepted and was given a start date about a week out, with an email detailing what to wear and the type of boots required. The whole process was quick, and a clean background and driving record seem to be key.

The interview experience started off poorly as soon as I arrived at the Ocala office. I was supposed to be there early for a 10 AM start, but I wasn't seen until 11 AM. Management seemed unprofessional, with people walking around and using profanity. The interviewer had to take a phone call right before my interview, which made me consider leaving. Even though the company looked good online and I was eager to start, the reality of the Ocala office was disappointing.

The manager I interviewed with was great. felt comfortable, asked me good questions, and listened. Provided me with all information I asked for. I had to fill out a small amount of paperwork which was for the background check, drug screen, and company policies that we should be aware of.

I interviewed with the Hiring Manager. They had a list of around two pages of questions, mostly about different scenarios. The interview lasted about 35 minutes. They also went over the job details with me, and then I answered some general questions.
