Digital Current was super clear about what the interview process would look like from the start and during all the chats. The first chat was a basic intro and screening. Then I had a chat directly with the CEO. The third chat was with the Founder / Exec Chairman, and an Ops Mgr was there too.

I went and interviewed with four people. They sent me a link to review and then sat me in a conference room with one interviewer and three other employees. When I started to explain how I would improve a website they had sent, I was interrupted with questions. I thought this was rude because they wouldn't let me finish. I only got about four sentences out before I was completely cut off, even though they told me to speak for 10-15 minutes. I have a perfect resume and a long work history with big corporations and a proven track record. I felt like they just wanted my ideas to improve their clients' websites without actually wanting to hire anyone. I also felt like they weren't diverse in their culture, as their group photo only showed white Americans. I think I wasn't hired because I know more than the interviewer. I left feeling awful and decided I wouldn't accept an offer even if one was made. I didn't like the company atmosphere.

I applied online and within 3 days I got a phone interview. After that, I was invited for a face-to-face interview with Thom and Nicole. They were really passionate about Digital Current, very upbeat, and clearly loved their jobs. I was going through a tough time with my son needing surgery and time off soon after starting. They assured me that my son's health was the priority and that would be fine. That's when I became a fan and really wanted to join the team, as family is important to them.

I had a Zoom interview, but the interviewer was late and then stepped away during the call. It felt unprofessional because she only asked three questions and seemed distracted. She kept asking about agency experience, and I had to answer the same question four times. There was a silent 2-minute stare-down before she decided I wasn't a good fit and ended the call abruptly.
