Assistant Manager, Human Resources
The HR team needs to improve the recruitment process because some steps weren't done right or by the book. I felt embarrassed when my referees were contacted early on. I made it all the way to the third interview but wasn't chosen. Can you imagine how awkward that was with my previous employer?
- Tell me about your background and experience.
Supervisor
The interview was short and pretty basic. At times, common sense would have been enough to answer the questions. They were mostly trying to figure out how you are with people and what tools, skills, and/or personality you have to fit in with the team.
- Tell me about a time you had to separate employees because tensions were rising.
Sales Associate
We talked about the company's background and how smooth the interview process was. They also covered training, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the company. We discussed salary and performance-based increments. The interviewers were really nice, friendly, and made me feel welcome. The hours are reasonable and flexible, and the hiring process was quick.
- Can you describe how you manage pressure or stress?
Sales Associate Photographer
You had two interviews for this gig, both took place at the restaurant. The first one was with the manager of the photo company, and they asked you a bunch of questions to see what skills you might have with cameras and on the sales floor. The second interview was with the manager of the restaurant at Hard Rock Cafe Orlando, and they wanted to hear about your customer service experience. If you aced both interviews, you got the job! Sometimes these interviews could be on the same day, or on different days, just depending on which managers were around and available.
- If you were hired for this position, how would you approach customers to offer to take their photo?
