First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Digiday.
Marketing Director
I had to do a small assignment first, then a virtual interview where we talked about the job and how I approached the assignment. The interview took about half an hour.
- What motivates your interest in this company?
Product Manager
I sent in my resume and the office manager contacted me for an interview. I met with the chief editor and the CEO, and it went well. They then asked me to prepare and submit a proposal. After I submitted it, we talked over the next few days. It's been three weeks now, and even though they said I'd hear back, I haven't gotten any word from them.
- Can you describe how you would approach growing a product?
- What strategies would you implement for product expansion?
- Could you elaborate on your working style?
Editor
Since the company is fully remote, all interviews were done over the phone and video. There were two interview rounds, and they were more conversational than a typical corporate interview. They also gave me an editing assignment.
- Can you discuss your work history and skills?
- Tell me about the role and what would be expected of me.
Copywriter
I had a really nice and interesting chat during my phone and in-person interviews. The questions weren't super hard, but they made me think and I felt the interviewer was good at figuring out if I had the right skills and would fit the company vibe.
- Can you share a significant challenge you faced, how you tackled it, and the feelings associated with that experience?
