Customer Service Representative
The first part of the face-to-face interview includes typical questions like "biggest accomplishment in life." The second part involves a 1-minute typing test. Following that, there's a 30-minute test covering geography, basic reading, and basic math. WARNING: if you struggle with directions, the map questions will be tough! I wish I had studied them more. After the test, you get to shadow an actual customer service rep for a phone call or two, and then you're done. You should hear back before training starts with hiring information or a rejection.
- What are three key things you seek in an employer?
Customer Service Representative
Applied online and sent my resume. HR called the next day for a quick phone interview asking about my ability to read maps and use a computer, plus some general questions. They scheduled me for an interview later that week. The interview itself was pretty standard, asking what I look for in a company and for an example of handling a difficult situation. They also mentioned benefits if I was kept on after the seasonal period. After that, I was taken to a testing room for a typing speed test, a map reading test, a basic computer knowledge test, and a spatial recognition test. Then, I sat in on two calls with an employee in the call center to get a feel for the environment and ask questions. The whole thing took about two hours. After my interview, they called my references, and I got an offer the next day. They were upfront about the wage not being negotiable, and we sorted out the schedule right away over the phone. I was set up for a five-week training session. It seems like a really nice and laid-back company so far. If they call you in, be ready for a longer interview process!
- Which accomplishment is your greatest source of pride?
- What is the biggest accomplishment you've ever achieved?
- Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.
Customer Care Representative
The interview process was very friendly, held in a nice office. It included spatial, math, and typing tests, though I don't think they were reviewed. Before the in-person interview, there was a brief HR phone call where they asked if I knew my cardinal directions. This phone 'screen' seemed very easy to pass. The in-person interview was with Tiffany, who was very friendly and asked many standard interview questions in a relaxed manner. Prior experience in a call center with a script is a significant advantage.
- Can you tell me how you found out about this job opening?
- Are you familiar with cardinal directions?
