First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Diffusion PR.
Account Executive
Incredibly drawn out interview process. For me, it took over two months of interviews that I was told went well, but still resulted in no offer. In fact, my point of contact with the company became unresponsive when I emailed to ask for updates on a decision after the final interview. This is unfortunate considering how much time and effort I gave to interviewing with Diffusion. Furthermore, lack of communication internally means you will essentially do the same interview 4 times with different members of the team. They will also ask you to prepare a sample pitch deck after the second interview, to present during the third. Those looking to work with an agency may be better off looking where the hiring process is handled more professionally.
- Why did you decide to pursue a career in PR?
Account Executive
The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a presentation where I had to answer some questions about it. After that, it was a typical interview. I felt good about the people interviewing me; I got a good vibe from them.
- What would your manager say is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness?
Account Executive
It was a lengthy and enjoyable interview process spanning several months and multiple meetings with different people. I really liked connecting with the executives and the teams. However, I felt they could have been more clear about what they were looking for. At one point, a leader commented that I made her feel uncomfortable as a candidate, which wasn't ideal. While I appreciate honesty, it would be better if such specific feedback wasn't given directly to the candidate.
- Could you share the number of pitches you typically send each month?
